The OLiV Chef’s are creating another fabulous OLiV in the Garden night at Hinterbrook Winery. OLiV Head Chef Rob Webster and his team have selected some of our fine Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar to create a tantalizing flavour to perfectly pair with Hinterbrook’s excellent Pinot Noir. In celebration, Hinterbrook will be offering its Pinot Noir by the glass at a reduced cost of $7.00 for this occasion only.
Invite your friends, family, guests or just come out yourself for some fine food and wine in the garden. And, there is no extra charge for the stimulating conversation! What a great way to end the week. We look forward to seeing you there.

Come celebrate Canada Day in Niagara-on-the-Lake and Fort George with special events planned throughout the day. Festivities begin with a pancake breakfast put on by the Friends of Fort George in Simcoe Park. Watch as the 41st Regiment Fife and Drum Corps leads a giant birthday cake decorated by Willows Cakes & Pastries down Queen Street to Simcoe Park.

Admission at Fort George is free on Canada Day! Join in for music, muskets and artillery demonstrations throughout the afternoon. Enjoy a BBQ dinner, music and fireworks in the evening!

Market at the Village

Will you be visiting Niagara on the Lake this year??

If so, why not head down to the “Market at the Village” to sample great local food, wine, beer, and entertainment!

The “Market at the Village” SuperMarket kicked off in style this week on May 21st and will continue each and every Wednesday evening right throughout the Spring & Summer.  The market opens at 4.30pm and continues through until dusk each week.

The market features over 20 food vendors, artisans & farmers all with delicious foods & fresh produce to purchase and sample.  The night would also not be complete without live entertainment featured on a weekly basis, along with representation from local wineries and breweries to quench your thirst on those soon to be warm and sunny evenings!

As well as the SupperMarket on Wednesday evenings, there is also a Farmers Market every Saturday morning between 8am and 1pm.  At the Farmers Market you can find local farmers, bakeries, jams & jellies, pickles, ice-cream, farm-to-table lunches, along with gourmet tea & coffee.

The “Market at the Village” is a great way to spend a Wednesday evening, or a Saturday morning sampling the best niagara has to offer!

Enjoy Niagara Fresh Fruit in Brockamour’s Breakfasts!

It’s strawberry season in Niagara-on-the-Lake!   Strawberries made their sweet & delicious debut in June and will continue their show well into July.  Cherries are just showing up at roadside vendors around the Niagara region.  We bought our first sweet cherries today at our favourite vendor, Quiet Acres.  Also available were garlic scapes, rhubarb, currants, and of course, strawberries!  Other great fruits that will be available in July are:  apricots, blackberries, blueberries, gooseberries, peaches (we love peaches), and raspberries. 

If you are a vegetable lover, July brings beets, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, garlic, peas, spinach & zucchini.  There isn’t much that doesn’t grow here in Niagara!  At Brockamour Manor we try to incorporate as much of the fresh, yummy produce as we can into our breakfasts.  Every day during the growing season you will find at least one (and usually several) of the local Niagara fruits or vegetables. 

In Niagara-on-the-Lake we love a festival and what better to celebrate than Niagara fruit:
